How did that happen? Another year whizzed by in the blink of an eye and here we are already in the second decade of the 21st century. Surely part of the reason time is passing so quickly is that we have been busy doing work we love.

In 2009 we had the privilege of publishing many stories, from a photographic account of a baby’s first year to the life story of a remarkable 92 year old woman in her own words. Together with you we chronicled high school graduations, bar and bat mitzvahs, college reunions, 80th birthdays and milestone anniversaries. We heard remarkable stories of survival from Auschwitz to Communist China, and everyday tales of people who give tirelessly of themselves. Our confidence and trust in humanity is nourished and renewed by the stories of love for family, friends and community to which we have been witness. We are truly grateful for so many opportunities to share your stories.

Your ideas have helped us create new products and services, including memory posters, slide shows, photograph and document archiving, geneaological research and family trees. Our new office space has inspired us, made us more productive and led us to new partners to work towards our common goal. We are looking ahead to 2010 with excitement and great anticipation.
To us, the continued economic hardships being experienced by so many only confirm importance of creating gifts with lasting meaning rather than simply purchasing more “stuff”. The tragic loss of too many friends, too young, renews our commitment to helping everyone tell their stories and pay tribute to loved ones, for the only thing any of us can be assured of leaving behind is a legacy of love and learning.  2010 will surely bring more joy, heartache and change – it is the way of life. One of us will watch her nest empty while the other will begin preparations for her first birdie to fly. Through it all we will be here, trying to make sense out of life and help others create something meaningful.
Will you join us on our journey?
~ Kristi and Jennifer
